UPSCYatra is upfront about how refunds work. All paid products on UPSCYatra — subscription plans and Shop PDFs — are digital, and access begins the moment your payment succeeds. Because delivered digital goods cannot be returned, all sales are final, except in the single case of a verified duplicate charge. This page explains what that means for each product type and how to reach us if something genuinely goes wrong.

Subscription Plans

UPSCYatra offers two subscription plans — Mains 2026 (₹249) and 2027 Attempt (₹999). Both are one-time payments for a fixed access period; there are no recurring charges.
Access to your plan begins immediately upon successful payment. Because the product is digital and access is granted instantly, subscription payments are non-refundable — including for reasons such as change of mind, selecting the wrong exam year, reduced usage, or exam rescheduling.
What this means in practice:
  • Payments are non-refundable once made, except for a verified duplicate charge
  • If you paid but your access was not activated, contact [email protected] — we will work to activate your account, but this does not constitute a refund eligibility
  • No partial refunds are available for unused time on an active plan

Shop PDF Purchases

Monthly current affairs PDFs from the UPSCYatra Shop are priced at ₹29 per month and are available as immediate digital downloads. What this means in practice:
  • Shop PDF purchases are non-refundable once the download is accessed — as with all digital goods, the file cannot be “returned” once delivered
  • If you were charged but did not receive download access (payment succeeded but no download link appeared and no email arrived), contact [email protected] with your order details and we will resolve it

The One Exception: Duplicate Charges

The only refund UPSCYatra offers is for a verified duplicate charge — meaning you were charged twice for the exact same purchase.

Include both payment IDs

Provide both payment reference IDs, the date and amount of each charge, and the product name. This information is in your payment confirmation email or bank/UPI statement.

Wait for verification

We will verify the duplicate against our records. If confirmed, we will initiate a refund to your original payment method. Allow up to 10 business days for the refund to be initiated; your bank or UPI provider may require additional time to credit your account.

Situations Where We Do Not Refund

We will not issue a refund if you changed your mind, selected the wrong plan, did not use the product, are dissatisfied with the content, or want a partial refund for unused plan time. These situations are not covered under our policy.

Payment Security

UPSCYatra processes all payments through Razorpay, a secure third-party payment gateway. We do not store your card number, CVV, UPI credentials, or any sensitive payment information on our servers. Your payment data is handled entirely by Razorpay.
